NEW INFORMATION. One of the first guys indicted, Judge Samuel T. Currin has reached a plea agreement. (see also the post Wednesday, March 29, 2006 "More on who these guys really are" and the post ID'ing several of the players, including Judge Sam Currin and Howell Woltz (wife Vernice too) in the post Thursday, April 20, 2006 "Unsealed Indictment For the GTXC Co-conspirators")

WOW. What this means is that Ole Samuel T. Currin, disgraced judge, friend to the Hagen's Woltz, Brecher and many others is first, going to jail. And second, looks like he's giving up information on the scams he knew about but may not have been an "active" participant. Why else would he be absolved of and have the government openly acknowledge ongoing criminal investigations that include GTX Global? (since renamed VSTC/Vision TechnologyCorp and a further relationship with SQL Minds)
Read also Section V "Assistance to Government". Not only does he openly agree to testify and give info, but to waive his "work product" exclusion in any dealings where his role was as attorney to these scammers. Hagen, Ovesnik, Brecher, Ivanov, Garth... the whole lot of them are screwed.

you can, as many others have, post a "comment" where you can put in an e-mail address and I will be able to correspond with you. Any information you have can then be sent to me for review, fact checking and posting where appropriate. Lot's of the stuff you see in this blog, which I'd love to be able to take sole credit for, comes from many outside sources and contributors.
DD, thanks for taking the time to talk to Ivan and get his side. However, some of the story doesn't seem to be meshing with my memories.

I recall Ivan being mentioned as early as Oct 2004, which is when the Gatelinx/Brady deal was falling appart. I have two specific instances of his name being mentioned.
1) Several developers were accursed of "hacking" one of the servers. Ivan was named to at least one developer as being the one with the "proof" of the hackery.
2) When the data center was moved from the site setup during the Stefanik regime, Ivan was the one who oversaw the transition.
In both of these instances, the impression that was given was that Ivan was basically taking over a large portion of the responsibilities that had previous belonged to Stefanik.
Perhaps my impression and the impression of the other developers I talked to at the time were wrong...but from what I recall, Ivan was pretty tightly entwined with this by the end of Oct 2004.
I almost feel sorry for IVAN because it seems that he may have a good product with SQL Minds, though he has lined himself with a Company that has a PAST that is SCARY.
The lack of demo site makes it damned near impossible to evaluate. It's unclear to me why they couldn't set up a test system with dummy data that would be restored to pristine condition each night.... but that's their problem not mine.
From what I read, I wasn't that impressed, but I think there is probably a need out there given the vast number of very poorly trained MS SQL DBAs out there.
But, I would argue that any company implementing this would be better off spending their money on training their staff.

Guess what? Ole ED promised me and my partner/investor(s) in GTX a BETA version of GTX's gimmick. That was when I/we were at about $5. (IN at $7.10!!) Saw a problem but was assured by ED that he would talk to--I believe he even said IVAN--and get a version out to us by "MONDAY". That was on a FRiday. I will check my phone records--which I have kept--and come up with the actual date. Then at $3 we bailed and shorted. Two days later VIOLA!! VSTC in. 1-2 @ $1.76!! NO ANNOUNCEMENT ON THE GTX site; no return calls etc!!! I called pink sheets, by the way, and reported GTX toll-free # down, spoke with I believe a man named Nelson(?) and was told by him that he had spoken with Ole' ED and everything was fine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Have records of that call also. VIOLA again!!!!VSTC!! Pinksheets again!!!! Just like others the $$ is not an issue. Those lieing SOB's, INCLUDING the pig IVANOV and oh, LIAR ED also deserves NO, I SAY NO NO NO pity. They know exactly what they are doing. RIPPING OFF!! Wow, someone has really pissed in Bennett's cheerios. The tone of his recent postings made me think that perhaps someone has hi-jacked his name. Especially given the similarities between the "All of sudden" post and various emails I've seen from both of the Hagens. Change Ferrari to Porsche and the tone and language is an almost perfect match for one of their hissyfits.
So, I did some searching. As late as August 2005 the number 702-767-5915 was registered as belonging to a Cathy Gray in Las Vegas, NV. And the number is still registered to an LV address. (Although I didn't want to pay for the information as to who it belongs to now.)
The 760-391-2532 number that Bennett originally posted is listed as belonging in INDIO, CA... That is somewhere in Las Angles. Again, I didn't want to layout the money for more details...
