Government moves to allow Hagen plea agreement

As long has been rumored, David did in fact discuss, review, enter into and sign a plea agreement way back in October, right after he was arrested. How do we know? Well, here's the agreement for all to see as part of a motion (was and still under seal) to deny bail in the original case

Pretty amazing stuff that David agreed to. He was looking at ACCEPTING 2 (two) 20year sentences. What happened? Did David think he could cut a better deal? Roll over on the others? (Ovsenik? Ivanov? Garth? Annette? Keri?) Or was this just another example of David's hubris thinking he is above the law?

David, aka Antonio Diaz, is going down big time. He's now going to become the latin lover for bubba in federal prison.

Remember right following this plea agreement David fired his attorney, or rather, his attorney fired him (see previous post December 2, 2007 here in this blog). Then Brecher gets arrested and subsequently pleads guilty. Hagen and Bryan Kos are indicted (which prompted David's new "divorce" attorney to file a motion for bail, which is filed under the head of "TOO FUCKING LITTLE TOO FUCKING LATE") which in turn prompted the above Government motion.

Now, the government, as it tightens the noose on David Hagen, seeks to introduce the plea agreement.

Notice some of the interesting cites by the government

  • He admitted his role
  • On 10/31 David Hagen requested some changes to the agreement. Didn't deny anything just wanted some minor changes that the government agreed too.
  • On November 28 David's then attorney met with David to get his signature on the final agreement. Right after that the then attorney informed the government he was withdrawing (aka firing his client)

Sam Currin, guilty and in jail. Howel and Vernice Woltz, guilt and in jail. Mark Brecher, guilty and awaiting sentencing (Brecher's plea agreement is under seal, that should be ain interesting read here shortly). David Hagen, in jail. Who's next? Ed Ovesenik? Curtis Garth? Ivan Ivanov?

All of them have been busy and fully impacted by this whole thing too. Seems ole Edward C Ovsenik has defaulted on a loan to a local bank.
